So, what's Dirtbag Pilates?

Dirtbag Pilates is for people who don’t fit neatly in boxes - hikers, field techs, travelers, van lifers, adventurers, weekend warriors, and anyone carving their own path. We create movement that fits real, unconventional lives: challenging, empowering workouts that inspire growth instead of punishment.

We train you for the goals other people say are out of reach.

Here, those living off the physical beaten path build strength, resilience, and mobility for the adventures that call them forward. And those living off the emotional beaten path find space to reconnect - to move with intention, confidence, and soul.

This is movement for the wild ones - grounded in strength, driven by spirit.

For the past seven years, I’ve lived and worked seasonally around the world, from the research stations of Antarctica to the Alaskan bush. I’ve worked as a field archaeologist, lived in wildfire camps, flown helicopters, thru-hiked the AZT, and called tents, vans, cabins, and communal bunkhouses all home.

And then... I became a Pilates instructor. What the f***? (You may be asking).

Yeah, I asked myself that too.

The thing is, in those years, I was chasing challenge.

I fell in love with the art of navigating discomfort and the adventure of seeking anything outside my comfort zone.

And then, I discovered how movement is another medium for exactly that. For showing up with resiliency, for exploring uncharted territories within ourselves, and for practicing empathy.

So, I fell in love with Pilates.

And, as I watched as it transformed countless individuals' strength, posture, and body awareness, I realized what a powerful tool this type of movement was.

A realization I could've used a long time ago, when I thought pilates was just about matching workout sets and matcha lattes.

Dirtbag Pilates was born from that realization.

I design workouts crafted specifically for outdoor enthusiasts as a way to reach new summits, adventures, and prepare for everything this beautiful life has to offer.

We believe that making the world a better place requires buy-in from every industry - including fitness. Our mission is to create a positive platform where movement goes beyond the mat, serving as a catalyst for empathy, awareness, and action.

Giving Back Through Movement

Throughout the year, we partner with local nonprofits and conservation organizations to host donation-based classes that raise funds and awareness for causes we believe in - from women’s and LGBTQ+ access to the outdoors to protecting the wild spaces that inspire us.

These classes are an invitation to move with purpose. Every plank, pulse, and breath becomes part of a bigger story that supports community, equity, and the planet.
